The cold weather seemingly traps us inside and subtly tells us to pick up a book and get cozy. There's nothing better than being wrapped up in a warm blanket and sipping hot tea or coffee, all while being enthralled by the plot of your novel. An in-home library is a luxury that almost anyone can create. Here are some of our favorite that are so appealing on these freezing cold, rainy days.

Easy Breezy
I know we're thinking the same thing right about now... why can't it be warm enough for the breeze on a warm, sunny day to gust in through an open door or window, fluttering the pages of our books while continuous bird chirps remind us of the beautiful season we're in? Sigh... all we can do is wait patiently and start creating these spaces just in time for us to enjoy. This specific vignette idyllically captures this feeling's essence. Organized Chaos
I get it, this style may not appeal to all. Some may say this is "too crowded" or that there's "way too much going on", but this design style (what I like to call "organized chaos") takes quite the eye to see and quite the skill to master. In this vignette, the designer plays with color, texture, and height to create a homey library without the need for permanent bookshelves and restricting cabinetry. By not conforming to the established ideals of what a library requires, this space makes it easy to pack up and move to its next and equally as beautiful spot in the home.

Hallway Library
This vignette's design tackles the idea of an "in-home library" much differently than any of the others. Although this library doesn't offer a place to read and relax, it is right on the way to the back door, opening onto a porch that is sure to have somewhere to sit and recline. The darker lighting creates a feeling of intimacy and coziness, perfect for picking out a novel on the way to the warm, sunny outdoors.
